Freedom – Showed off slight house influences

Freedom” was released in 2th December 2008, it is the third studio album by Akon. For the first, it was named “Acquitted”, but later it changed to “Freedom”. The album is also a digital download on 1th December. Through there is some profanity in the album, it is the first Akon’s album not to bring the Parental Advisory sticker. It was produced in late 2007 and ended in late summer 2008. “Freedom” is labeled by Akon, Universal Music. “Hold My Hand”is a recording of Akon joined with Micheal Jackson, it was released to the internet in july. And it was supposedly taken out by his music label at first showings.

Akon was hopeful to include song on the album in an interview with MTV. However, his label realeased information on the tracklisting on 17th October and it deas not joined by Jackson. “Clap Again”, the UK Bonus Track samples “Click Click Click” by New Kids on the Block

In chart 2008, the album showed at number seven at U.S Billboard 200, number three at U.S Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, number four at Canadian Albums Chart, number twenty seven at Greak Albums Chart, number fourty four at Belgian Album Charts (Flanders), number twenty one at UK Album Chart, number three at Australian Urban Albums Chart, and number twenty at Australian Albums Chart.

The two singles off of “Freedom”are not worldwide hits, which indicated both of his writers block. Those two singles is “Right Now (Na Na Na)” and “I’m So Paid”, they are quite well. Akon showed off slight house influences on “Right Now”, it is a thead that runs throught the album, and its chorus is undeniably cathy. It winds up being lines ending in “na,na,na”.

“I’m So Paid” is the better two of the album, it aims for the breeziness a little feels that “Don’t Matter” achieves. He collaborate with T-Pain in “Holla Holla”, which sounds more indicative of a Pain production.
